Notes
Ingredient Swap: I love using smoked paprika in my cajun blend when I want a deeper, smokier flavor without extra heat.
Storage Tip: These shrimp are best eaten right away, but if you have leftovers, store them in a sealed container in the fridge for up to two days.
They reheat okay, but they won't be as perfectly juicy.
Make-
Ahead Trick: You can toss the shrimp in the oil and seasoning mixture and let it marinate in the fridge for up to an hour before cooking.
I find this really lets the flavors sink in.
Common Mistake: Don't overcrowd the basket.
I learned this the hard way.
If the shrimp are piled on top of each other, they'll steam instead of getting that nice, light crisp on the edges.
Serving Suggestion: I always serve this over a quick cilantro-lime rice or with a simple green salad to soak up the delicious juices.
Equipment Note: No air fryer? No problem.
I've made these in a regular oven on a parchment-lined sheet pan at 400 degrees for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
Just watch them closely.
