Method
- Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl.
- Place the chicken in a bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook half the chicken for 4-5 minutes until cooked through, transfer to a plate, and repeat with the remaining chicken.
- Divide the rice, chicken, and steamed broccoli into two bowls. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
Chicken Thighs: I always reach for boneless skinless thighs because they stay incredibly tender and juicy even if I get distracted and leave them in the pan a minute too long.
