Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 ounces tomato sauce
  • 3 avocados halved
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes sliced
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • fresh cilantro chopped, optional
  • sour cream or Mexican crema, optional

Method
 

  1. Cook ground beef in a medium skillet over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
  2. Add chili powder, salt, cumin, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and tomato sauce; stir and cook for 3–4 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  3. Slice avocados in half lengthwise, remove the pits, and scoop a small amount from the center to create space for filling.
  4. Spoon the seasoned beef mixture into each avocado half.
  5. Top with shredded cheese, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, cilantro, and a dollop of sour cream, if desired.
  6. Serve immediately.
