Ingredients
  

  • 1 green tomato
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt divided
  • 1/4 tsp pepper divided
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder divided

Method
 

  1. Wash the green tomato, remove and discard the stem, and cut into 4 to 5 slices.
  2. Heat a skillet over high heat, drizzle with olive oil, and add the tomato slices. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium once the oil sizzles and cook the tomato slices for 5 minutes.
  4. Flip the slices with a spatula, ensuring they are in a single layer, and apply more seasoning.
  5. Cook for another 5 minutes, then check for doneness and flip again for a few more minutes if necessary.
  6. Turn off the heat once the tomatoes are tender and transfer them to a serving plate using a spatula.
