  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce adjust to taste
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. Follow these simple steps to create Bang Bang Air Fryer Chicken.
  2. Combine chicken thighs and buttermilk in a bowl. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Remove chicken from the buttermilk, shaking off any excess. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture until fully coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  6. Place the coated chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken pieces and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. While the chicken cooks, combine the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha in a bowl. Mix well until smooth.
  9. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the air fryer. Drizzle the bang bang sauce over the top and toss gently to coat all pieces evenly.
