This easy green bean side dish is a quick 5 ingredient green bean side dish for weeknights. Tossed with butter and toasted garlic!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound green beans trimmed and washed
  • 2 cloves garlic minced*
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Place green beans in a medium pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and toast until golden, monitoring closely to prevent burning.
  3. Add the green beans to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and toss to coat and reheat.
  4. Serve immediately.

Notes

*If you don't feel like mincing your garlic, you can crush it with a garlic press, but the little minced pieces of garlic are really delicious.
