Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into thirds (or chicken tenders)
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2-3 Tablespoons oil (or butter)
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 packet Good Seasons Italian dressing mix
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ½ cup chicken broth

Method
 

  1. Lightly coat chicken breast pieces in flour, shake off the excess, and set them on a plate.
  2. Heat 2 to 3 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over high heat until the pan is very hot.
  3. Add half of the chicken pieces to the skillet and brown for approximately 3 minutes per side.
  4. Season the chicken with salt and pepper while it is in the pan.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet, add more oil if necessary, and brown the remaining batch.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a slow cooker.
  7. Sprinkle the chicken with dry Italian dressing mix and add the minced garlic.
  8. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice.
  9. Cover with a lid and cook on low for 3 to 3.5 hours.

Notes

If you want to reduce the carbs even further, try substituting the all-purpose flour with almond flour or just skip the flour altogether.
