  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup (240 ml) asparagus chopped
  • 1 cup (240 ml) bell pepper diced
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) green onions sliced
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (240 ml) shredded cheese cheddar or your choice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • California olive oil for sautéing

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, sauté the asparagus, bell peppers, and green onions for 5-7 minutes until tender, then remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Whisk the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper in a large bowl, then stir in the sautéed vegetables and shredded cheese.
  4. Pour the filling into the pre-made pie crust and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the quiche is set and the top is lightly golden.
  6. Cool the quiche for several minutes, then slice and serve warm.
