Ingredients
Method
- Gather and measure all ingredients, and prepare the rice in the pan.
- Activate the Sauté setting, add oil and ground beef once hot, and cook until browned, draining excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in garlic, soy sauce, water, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, optional Asian pear, red pepper flakes, and white pepper, ensuring the bottom of the pot is scraped clean.
- Turn off the Sauté setting.
- Place the trivet in the pot directly over the beef.
- Combine rice, water, and butter in the pan and set it on top of the trivet.
- Close the lid and turn the steam release knob to the Sealing position.
- Select Pressure Cook or Manual mode and set the timer for 4 minutes on High Pressure.
- Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes after the cycle ends, then turn the knob to the Venting position to release remaining steam.
- Open the lid once the pin drops, carefully remove the rice pan using heat-resistant mitts or a gripper, and fluff the rice with a fork.
- Remove the trivet and stir the beef.
- Serve the beef over rice, in lettuce leaves, or in taco shells, then garnish and enjoy.
