Ingredients
  

  • 3 large ripe tomatoes
  • 1 English cucumber
  • ½ white onion thinly sliced
  • fresh herbs for garnish, parsley, basil and/or dill
Dressing
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • ½ teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
  • ½ teaspoon thinly sliced fresh basil leaves
  • ¼ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Whisk all dressing ingredients in a small bowl until thoroughly combined.
  2. Cut the tomatoes and cucumbers into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Combine the vegetables and dressing in a medium bowl.
  4. Toss the mixture thoroughly and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Notes

To take some of the "bite" out of the onion in this recipe, soak it in cold water while preparing the other ingredients.
Upon sitting, the salad will naturally produce liquid as cucumbers and tomatoes contain a lot of water. Drain before serving if needed.
