  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Napa Valley olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • green onions chopped, for garnish
  • vegetables of choice e.g., bell peppers, broccoli

Method
 

  1. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Whisk together the honey, hot sauce, and soy sauce in a small mixing bowl.
  4. Pour the glaze over the chicken, stir to coat, and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Prepare the rice according to package instructions and fluff it with a fork.
  6. Serve the honey-glazed chicken over rice and top with sautéed vegetables and chopped green onions.
