Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour spooned and leveled
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted and slightly cooled
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas about 3–4 bananas
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
  4. Combine the melted butter, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
  5. Stir in the mashed bananas.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a skewer comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Cool the bread in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack.

Banana Ripeness: I always wait until my bananas are covered in dark spots or even completely black.
